I bought one of the original RCI-2950 rigs used from a friend in 1991 and still have it. Back then all-mode rigs for under $300.00 is great. Put a D-104M6 hand mic on this rig and it's an all-mode talker. Great receive as well. This is a keeper.

I can?t say enough about how great these radios are for the SSB?er. Both the 2970DX I?ve tried and the 2950DX?s have performed flawlessly with excellent stability. They aren?t the loudest radios out there and they aren?t the easiest to use in terms of simplicity, but they are far and above a better SSB export radio than the majority of radios on the market. make sure to get tuned by copper, they did a good job on the one two i have. thx copper once again

Don't Kidd yourself this is not a Yaesu or Kenwood or Icom. That said, for a 10 11 12 meter Raidio it's as close to it as you can buy that is in current production. I have owned many 2950's and swear by them. The only radio I like better is the Uniden President Lincoln, no longer in production. Thanx to the MAN. I run a Lincoln in my truck a 2950 in my car 2980 for base. I am soon purchassing the 2950DX to replace my Lincoln in the truck and move the Lincoln inside to run on PWR supply next to the 2980 for head to head comparrison. The 2950's are the way to go. Don't let anyone tell you diff. Put a D104 hand held on it and all you will ever get are awsome complements. People. This is the radio to buy for strong clean modulation and awsome features. Ron.
