I bought a Silver Eagle instead of a Night Eagle to go with my 2950. It is already wired 6 pin. The MIC will not work for the radio. I thought maybe it was a loose wire, so I resoldiered them all, but it still does not work. When I key up, it does not TX, but instead is just routed throug the speakers on the radio. None of my meters, on the radio or off move. I have to turn the MIC gain all the way down and it still goes through only the speaker on the radio. The radio does not have talk back with the normal MIC so I assume it does not at all.
Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong?
Here's the layout..

If that helps anything. Also, it has new batteries. Thanks,

The Mic Wiring for the Silver Eagle is the same as for the Knight Eagle.
And your wiring above is 100% correct for the Silver Eagle or Knight Eagle to the 2950.
I would suggest finding someone near you with a Mic Tester or test it on another radio.
If the Mic works then the problem is in your radio.
Hope this help's,

It could be the radio even though the stocker works fine?
I opened he bottom of the mic up and it looked like the dreaded red wire was unsoldiered. I soldiered it back, but same results.
I think I got a dud. Too bad it's a pretty one.

Lon, Thanks again for the help.
I fixed it.
The red wire at the end of the MIC cord came undone. There's a empty spot on the MOBO that I thought it would be soldiered to after reading some older post mentioning the same problem. WRONG. WRONG. WRONG.
The wire that came loose actually went to the mic contacts. Resoldiered it, and it's working fantastic. Thanks again for all the help.
Another problem solved thanks to these boards.
