It's all of that many years ago, that I had one of those microphones. Worked fairly good until I found one heck of a deal on a D-104 and have been using them and top end Turners since that time frame.

I have a D-104 but seem to like the Realistic. Maybe because it is shorter. It's easier for my kids to use also!

I have 2 of those base mics. I love them and they work really well with a Navaho. Your right they are sensitive mine will pick up the neighbors dog barkin!

My recollection is that those Radio Shack mics basically were Turner +2 guts.

i like the turner plus 3 as it does not pick up back ground noise like the amplified mics do

I bought one of those Realistic Base Desk Mic's new. I think it cost $29.99 or $19.99, i'm getting forgetful on what i paid for that mic now. About all I remember about it is that it was plastic and had the slider bar for mic gain, PTT and Lock buttons, and Super Sensitive! This was in about 1976 and on my first CB Base which was a 23 CH Radio Shack Mobile on a power supply. Everyone said the Mic sounded great. Good find!

Crackshot, I've been looking for specs on a Realistic desk mic I have, and that sounds like the one I have. It has a switch on the bottom, does yours?? It has a model #21-1173. If you have any info I'd love a copy of the spec sheet. I can be reached at email@example.com. thanks, scott.
