Optimism paves the way. As many as 62% of sales and marketing leaders expect to exceed their revenue goals in 2022 — but poor communication; lack of alignment on shared goals; inaccurate data; and struggles with distributed teams litter the road to success. We surveyed 300 B2B senior marketing and sales leaders and found that:
58% report their sales and marketing alignment is “poor,” “fair” or “good” — a decline from 2021, with subpar communication and lack of accurate data among the biggest culprits
Those who have gone fully remote have the most negative outlook with regards to alignment and revenue
17% of teams that are more likely to use integrations between tools and share real-time insights report excellent alignment
